Nearly 250 million! CIMC ENRICCO wins tender for natural gas peaking reserve station project

This win once again demonstrates CIMC ENRIC's industry-leading strength in the LNG engineering field, and we will continue to provide customers with energy-saving and efficiency-enhancing total solutions to help the construction of important livelihood protection projects in the LNG field.

(hereinafter referred to as “CIMC Sundain”), a subsidiary of CIMC Anrico, has recently won a contract for a 29,000m³ natural gas peaking reserve station project, with a contract value of nearly RMB 250 million. The project is an important project for the people’s livelihood in Yan’an, Shaanxi Province. Upon completion, the project will effectively enhance the local natural gas regulation and emergency response capacity, greatly protect the people’s livelihood and lay a solid foundation for the construction of clean energy in the region.

The natural gas peaking reserve station project is divided into Phase I and Phase II, which is scheduled to commence in June this year and be completed and put into operation in June next year. The project mainly includes a 100×104Nm³/d purification capacity, 100×104Nm³/d liquefaction capacity, 29,000m³ storage capacity of LNG liquefaction plant complete sets of equipment and installation engineering services, etc.

The project covers an area of 166.2 mu, with a designed natural gas processing capacity of 1,000,000m³ per day and a supporting 29,000m³ storage tank, which is the core equipment of CIMC Sundain, and the stored natural gas can meet the local emergency demand for about 3 days. The storage tank is an external flexible sealed three-wall metal full capacity tank, in which the technology applied has independent intellectual property rights and passed the new technology appraisal of Jiangsu Province Department of Industry and Information Technology in 2022, which identified the technology as “in the leading position in China”. This greatly improves the economy and safety of the product.

Ju Xiaofeng, Deputy General Manager and Head of Energy Equipment and Engineering Business Centre of CIMC ENERGY, said: “There is a certain spatial mismatch between China’s current energy supply and demand, and domestic gas storage capacity is still generally lacking. In the face of economic recovery and growing energy demand, localities are stepping up the expansion of LNG storage infrastructure to build up sufficient capacity for stable natural gas supply and emergency peaking in winter. The winning bid once again demonstrates CIMC ENERCO’s industry-leading strength in the LNG engineering field, and we will continue to provide customers with energy-saving and efficiency-enhancing total solutions to help the construction of important livelihood protection projects in the LNG field.”
