The rust prevention of bearings is not only during its use, but also during its production and before storage.

1 Inter-process rust management

Metal in the process of processing often with dust, moisture and acid fog and other atmospheric contact will occur rust, and heat treatment residual salt cleaning is not clean, pickling, acid printing liquid cleaning and incomplete, demagnetisation is not clean with the end of the grinding wheel, the end of the iron filings, sweaty hands and so on are very easy to cause bearing corrosion. Therefore, to ensure that the workpiece will not cause losses in the process, stay in the process of bearing parts must take effective measures to prevent rust.

(1) The establishment of rust-proof library, the use of mechanical spray method, spraying 2-3 times per shift, each time 10-15 minutes, the bearing parts centralised rust treatment.

(2) Regularly clean all kinds of antirust equipment, strictly according to the process of preparation of antirust liquid, cleaning fluid, cooling water, regular laboratory tests, adjustments, replacement on schedule.

(3) The bearing parts after flaw detection and grinding should be demagnetised and cleaned with cleaning solution before storage for rust prevention.

(4) Bearing parts after pickling or writing acid, must be cleaned, neutralised completely, and then rust treatment with anti-rust water.

(5) Prohibit the use of cooling water, cleaning fluid to wash hands, rags, etc., to ensure the cleanliness and performance of the use of liquid to extend the life of the use of liquid.

(6) Improve civilised production, ensure environmental hygiene, and eliminate the hidden danger of rust.

2 Finished bearing antirust management

Finished bearings coated with antirust oil sealed packaging, can avoid the impact of atmospheric conditions in the storage and transport process, rust and mildew, affecting the use of performance.

1, the finished bearings are sprayed with paraffin twice, sprayed with anti-rust lubricating oil, and sealed and packed with polyethylene.

2、Before paraffin spraying and anti-rust lubricating oil spraying, the finished bearings should be filtered with the cartridge that meets the process requirements to ensure the cleanliness of the finished bearings, and the oil tanks and machine tools should be thoroughly cleaned once a month.

3、Inspectors and assemblers need to apply liquid gloves when contacting finished parts and bearings to avoid rusting due to hand sweat.

4、Finished bearings are handled and stored gently to avoid packaging damage.

5, assembly room, finished bearing storage room should be dry, clean, no pollution sources.

3 apply anti-rust oil method

1, immersion method: some small items are used to soak in antirust grease, so that its surface adheres to a layer of antirust grease method. The thickness of the film can be achieved by controlling the temperature or viscosity of the antirust grease.

2、Brushing method is used for outdoor construction equipment or special shaped products which are not suitable for soaking or spraying. When brushing, attention should be paid not only to not produce accumulation but also to prevent leakage of coating.

3、Spray method Some large-scale antirust products cannot be coated with oil by immersion method, and are generally sprayed with filtered compressed air at a clean air place with a pressure of about 0.7Mpa. Spray method is applicable to solvent-diluted antirust oil or thin-layer antirust oil, but must be used to improve fire prevention and labour protection measures.

4 The main factors affecting metal corrosion

Metal corrosion is caused by a variety of internal and external factors, summarised in the main:

1, the chemical composition and structure of the metal material itself;

2, metal surface finish;

3, the composition and pH value of the solution in contact with the metal surface;

4, environmental temperature and humidity;

5, and metal surface contact with a variety of environmental media.
