Newsweek’s results are based on a study conducted by Plant-A Insights, a data research firm that interviewed more than 250,000 employees and collected more than 1.5 million comprehensive reviews of companies. U.S. News & World Report’s list was based on a combination of publicly available information and industry classification benchmarking criteria.

To select its list of America’s Best Places to Work, Newsweek teamed up with Plant-A Insights to evaluate U.S. companies of 500 or more employees in a variety of industries. The two organisations evaluated employers of this size by comparing current employers to other companies on judging criteria such as corporate culture, work environment, and other aspects of the company.

Using at least 75 authoritative reviews from Glassdoor USA for the period 2020 to 2023, U.S. News & World Report selected the list from among publicly traded companies covered by the Russell 3000 Index. Its assessment focused on metrics such as quality of compensation and benefits, work-life balance and flexibility, job and company stability, and career development.
